LENHOK'SIN  HIGH ADVENTURE CAMP

General Information

The mission of Lenhok'sin High Adventure is to offer older Scouts and Venturers and their adult leaders high adventure opportunities they will enjoy and remember forever. This includes activities where they may test and expand their outdoor backpacking and camping skills through trail crew teamwork. Crews will also experience challenging recreational programs that they may have never experienced before. At Lenhok'sin you will have the opportunity to hike the 5,000 acres of Goshen Scout Reservation as well as some of the 35,000 acres of surrounding state wildlife game lands.

There are over 50 miles of trails which will give your crew a true mountaintop experience. Your crew will also have the opportunity to select outposts that may include Foxfire, Lumberjack, Rock climbing, Mountain Man, Kayaking, Native American, Mountain Biking, Caving, and Fishing during your trek. Trail food at Lenhok'sin is prepared by your crew on the trail. Camp is accredited annually by the BSA and must meet the State of Virginia standards for resident camps.

2007 WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE

"The World Scout Jamboree will be a gathering of Scouts from around the world for 12 days from 27 July to 8 August 2007.

The theme of the 21st World Scout Jamboree in 2007 is “One World, One Promise” – which captures the aspirations and hopes of young people for the future.

40,000 young people will camp, live and work alongside each other. They will come from a variety of different cultures, backgrounds, and religions. Together they will celebrate what unites them, and learn what they can do together to help build a better world."
